PASCO, WA—January 21, 2011 Powder coating will now be standard on all Uncle Norm’s Marine Products Fin Sets and No-Drill Clamp Set. Powder coating is an excellent finish to protect the Fins from natural water discoloration and weather conditions.  The addition of powder coating to the Fin’s high grade aluminum is the perfect balance of form and function.

Powder coating is a process of applying resin electrostatically and heat cured to metal surfaces. Tougher than conventional paint, powder coating adds durability to products.

“Professional fishing guides wanted the look of the Fins to complement their boat and rigging. A guide’s boat is their calling card. West Richland, WA  January 8, 2011—Uncle Norm’s Marine Products donated two Never Miss Hitch trailer hitching guides and a Dolphin Fin Set to Columbia Basin Veterans Coalition’s transitional housing fundraiser. The event’s chili feed, drawing and auction at Ty’s Tavern raised funds for the Coalition’s Wagenaar-Pfister House. The Wagenaar-Pfister House provides transitional housing for combat veterans returning to civilian life. It’s named in honor of two fallen soldiers from different military conflicts. Daniel Wagenaar served in Vietnam, and Travis Dwight Pfister served in Iraq.

PASCO, WA—August 26, 2010 Uncle Norm’s Marine Products Fin Sets have been redesigned to accommodate most standard outboard and outdrive motors. Fins now fit an estimated 95% of factory boat motors up to 250 hp. Whether you are a professional fishing guide, recreational boater or water sports enthusiast Uncle Norm’s has a Fin for you.

The Orca Fin is intended for outboards and outdrive units up to 250 hp. The Dolphin gives kicker motors more effective thrust and smoother running under a steady load. This means less equipment and operator fatigue. Other Uncle Norm’s Fins fit American Turbine jet pumps, electric trolling motors, troll plates and hydrofoils. Custom orders available.

These innovative water rudders allow boats to maneuver better at slow speed and low thrust.   By adding stability and control, boaters get a tighter turning radius at any speed. Fins mount to cavitation plate with the No-Drill Clamp Set (sold separately) or bolt mount. An added benefit to the Fins extending the plate area is less boat wake. Less wake means less impact on shoreline erosion and smoother ride for water skiing and tubing.
